About JSMBM Membership

The Japanese Society for Matrix Biology and Medicine (JSMBM) welcomes researchers, clinicians, and students who are interested in connective tissue biology, extracellular matrix research, and related interdisciplinary fields. By becoming a member, you join a vibrant scientific community that promotes basic, translational, and clinical research through annual scientific meetings, awards, newsletters, and international activities.

Membership Categories & Annual Fees

Regular Member ¥8,000
Student Member ¥3,000
Councilor ¥13,000
Corporate Member ¥50,000

Membership fees are subject to change according to the Society’s regulations.

How to Apply

  1. 1. Complete the online membership application form.
  2. 2. After submission, you will receive an automatic confirmation email.
  3. 3. Follow the instructions in the email to complete credit-card payment of the membership fee.
  4. 4. Membership becomes effective on the date payment is confirmed.

Research Keywords
To support future member searches and Society activities, applicants are asked to select 3–5 research keywords from the official keyword list and enter the corresponding keyword numbers in the application form.

Registered members can access the following services through the JSMBM member portal:

  • • Update personal and institutional information
  • • Pay annual membership fees by credit card
  • • Manage login credentials and account settings
