第58回日本結合組織学会学術大会を、2026年6月25日（木）～27日（土）に早稲田大学国際会議場にて開催いたします。今回は久しぶりに会期を3日間とし、医師の働き方改革に沿ったかたちで最終日を土曜日に設定いたしました。日曜日をゆっくり過ごしたり、都心での滞在を楽しんだりできる日程となっておりますので、早めのご予定確保をお勧めいたします。

会場となる早稲田大学国際会議場は、東京都心に位置しアクセスも良好で、周囲には活気ある学生街が広がります。学会期間中も快適にお過ごしいただける環境です。

プログラムでは、小胞体ストレス応答の研究で世界的に著名な森和俊・京都大学特別教授を特別講演にお迎えします。分泌経路を通る巨大分子であるECMの研究にもつながる視点から示唆に富む内容となるでしょう。さらに、海外研究者による講演、「若手の会」による企画、そしてランチョンセミナーも準備しております。

本学会が大切にしてきた価値は、異なる専門分野が交わることで生まれる「予期せぬ発見」です。分子・細胞から組織、疾患、材料開発まで幅広い領域を包含し、基礎と臨床、アカデミアと企業が絶妙な比率で共存する本学会は、学際的融合の場として独自の存在感を持っています。今回はその原点に立ち返り、口演会場を一つとし、オリジナル口頭発表をできるだけ多く採りたいと考えています。異なるバックグラウンドの聴衆の前での発表は、研究を深化させ、新たな共同研究を育む契機となるはずです。Q&A セッションでは活発な議論を期待しています。

また、隣接するリーガロイヤルホテルにて懇親会も開催いたします。活発な議論の後に、ぜひ親交を深めていただければ幸いです。

The 58th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society for Matrix Biology and Medicine will be held from June 25 (Thu) to 27 (Sat), 2026 at the Waseda University International Conference Center. The meeting will again span three days, with the final day scheduled on Saturday in line with recent workstyle reforms for medical professionals. We hope the schedule allows participants to enjoy a relaxing Sunday or time in central Tokyo.

The venue offers excellent access and a lively surrounding atmosphere, providing a comfortable environment throughout the meeting. We are delighted to welcome Professor Kazutoshi Mori (Kyoto University), a world-renowned expert in endoplasmic reticulum stress responses, as our Special Lecturer. His talk will offer perspectives also relevant to ECM biology. The program will additionally include overseas invited speakers, sessions organized by the Young Investigator Committee, and luncheon seminars.

Our society values the "unexpected discoveries" that emerge from interdisciplinary interaction. To foster such exchange, we will use a single oral presentation hall and aim to feature as many original presentations as possible. Presenting before an audience with diverse backgrounds will stimulate deeper scientific discussion and new collaborations. Active participation in the Q&A sessions is strongly encouraged.

A banquet will be held at the adjacent Rihga Royal Hotel Tokyo, offering further opportunities for networking. We look forward to welcoming you to Waseda for a stimulating and enjoyable meeting.
